Is it normal to have bruising after an ulnar nerve elbow ultrasound using a needle and cortisone injection?
Yes: A small amount of bleeding under the skin after injection is not unusual, especially if you have been taking anti-inflammatory medicines, which have some minor blood thinning side effects.See 1 more doctor answer

Had malaria 25 yrs ago 2 times, and suspected DLE not diagnosed yet. Is a Cortisone Injection for the itching of my BCG scar area in Arm safe for me?

I had a specific injury that caused my tennis elbow. I had multiple cortisone & blood injections & surgery 4 mos. Ago-still have pain-any other tx?
Difficult: First, I would probably recommend a second opinion to confirm that tennis elbow is your actual diagnosis. Many doctors jump straight to injections and surgery prior to emphasizing stretching and therapy. I would definitely do these if they haven't been done. Unfortunately, there is a subset of patients who just don't respond to surgery the way that we would hope.See 1 more doctor answer
Tennis elbow confirmed after examination. No scans. 4 cortisone injections in two years. Last two made pain worst. Suggested surgery. What should I do?
Surgery should be: The very last thing tried. Make sure your physical medicine doctor has put you on a full course of progressive eccentric exercise. Nitrous oxide patches applied directly over the affected common extensor and changed every 24 hours can be a very helpful adjunct to physical therapy. If this fails (and it works most of the time) consider ultrasound guided needle tenotomy of affected areas.
Had cortisone in AC joint. First one failed, hit bone and tingly shock wave through body. Second attempt successful but 28 hours later whole shoulder, up neck, down to elbow feels same pain as injection?
See your md: I assume you had ac joint injections for ac joint arthrosis or 'weight lifters' clavicle. If u are having the symptoms you are describing I would contact his office and see if you can't be seen fairly soon. Ac joint injections should not cause pain in neck, down arm etc. Any allergies? Can cortisone injections to elbow cause avascular necrosis of elbow? I had 4 injections. Last two to elbow joint
Elbow soft tissue atrophy after cortisone injections. What kind of more damage can be made for hand because of this and what is the treatment?
Steroid injections: Too many steroid injections can weaken the tissues and once this occurs, the damage is done. Tendons have been known to rupture after too many cortisone shots. The main treatment is to avoid any future steroid shots or placing of undue stress on the elbow. An orthopedic specialist can advise you further.
Golfers elbow: You should be examined and treated by an othopedic specialist to get the best results.See 1 more doctor answer
Yes.: A cortisone injection can be extremely helpful, even curative. It should be administered by an orthopedic elbow specialist, top make sure that it's given in the right location.
3 or more: The rule of thumb I follow is no more than 3 injections in a one year period into the same area and at least 1 month between injections. This may be more or less conservative when compared to other docs but it has kept my complication rate very low. Corticosteroids over time can weaken or rupture tendons/ ligaments and cause necrosis in bone. If your not responding, ask about other treatments.See 2 more doctor answers
Had a cortisone shot for tennis elbow and having severe and increasing pain. Never had this reaction before to the shots. Help.
Go to doctor: Pain after an injection is not normal and could signal an infection. Doesn't have to be but I'd want to know sooner rather than later. Is ther eswelling, redness or warmth over the injection site, bruising? Or other abnormality? Go see your doctor, please.
