Cornual Pregnancy In Children
Ectopic pregnancy: Cornual pregnancy falls under "ectopic pregnancy" "ectopic" meaning "out of the proper place". The proper situation of a pregnany would be in the middle up high in the uterus. Ectopic places are the cervix, the fallopian tubes, the corners of the top of the uterus, where the uterus continues on into the fallopian tubes, and pregnancies outside the uterus/fallopian tubes altogether. ...Read more
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Hi doctor i went for an HSG test on the 16 april 2014. ....My docs says my left tube is occluded at the cornual end.....What can we do?
Occluded Tube: Not a lot that can be done. In the us, most docs have abandoned tubal corrective surgery as the rates for ivf are better than conceiving after the tube (s) has been repaired. Also, when the tube has been either operated on or previously damaged, there is an increased risk for an ectopic pregnancy. At 24 years old, i would just try to get pregnant naturally for at least a year. ...Read more
Hello doc i m suffering from both tube blocked at cornual end now plan for hysterolaproscopy so can I do associated IUI a t the same time?
IUI won't work: If both your tubes are really blocked at the cornual ends (where they join the uterus) the IUI won't work as the egg and sperm can't get together. If one or both tubes was in spasm and not truly blocked then you still have a chance. Talk to your doctor - it's probably best to wait to see how your tubes look at the time of surgery before doing iuis. ...Read more
I usually feel pain when I'm ovulating. This month my left lower abdomen is in pain for a week. My cornual ruptured in feb. Should I be concerned?

Hi, 11 weeks pregnant with dichorionic twins, my 2nd twin is near right cornual region, adj. Myometrial thickness 3.9mm, is it a serious condition?
Possibly.: Typically the pregnancy grows in the path of least resistance - i.e. Inside the uterus. Most likely everything will be fine; if you or your obstetrician are concerned about this, an MRI should help put everyone's mind at ease by imaging the entire pelvis and uterus in detail. Best of luck! ...Read more

I had an ablation about 3 years ago. At the time I didn't want children. I am now 42 years old. Is it possible for pregnancy ?
Unlikely: Once you destroy the part of your uterus that produces the endometrium (the stuff that would receive & support the embryo)you can't carry a pregnancy. You could conceive, but the material would shed. You could talk with a fertility center about arranging for a surrogate to carry your baby. ...Read more

If i had untreated lymes disease before all of my pregnancies, would all 8 of my breastfed children have it?Could symptoms show anytime in their lives?
Possibly ; yes: The cdc does not officially recognize whether lyme can be transmitted from mother to baby in utero; this is controversial but there is sound evidence that this can occur; how often it occurs is not known. Some doctors even feel that many cases of autism are caused by this. While the lyme bacteria has been found in breast milk, transmission via breastfeeding seems less likely. I had one of my tubes removed due to a ectopic pregnancy. Im death scared that i wont be able to have children. Will i be able to get pregnant?
Your gyn: Who did the surg should have told u if your other tube looks good or not , and u can have a tubal xray called an hsg to see if it is patent or not, after one ectopic your risk goes from 1/100 to 1/10 so u still have a 9/10 chance to have a normal preg but obviously u will need to be followed closely at the beginning with quantitative bhchgs and Progesterone level and ultrasounds. ...Read more
