Ingredients: potato powder, potato starch, modified food starch, vegetable oil. Is it healthy?

REALLY UNHEALTHY!!!: This is recipe for disaster. Potatoes are in the environmental working group's dirty dozen foods-they're high in pesticides if not organic & are readily converted to sugar so raise blood sugar, causing weight gain & increased risk of diabetes. Generic "vegetable oil" is almost certainly corn, soy or canola which are all gmo if not organic & very toxic, fried potatoes have carcinogenic acrylamides. ...Read more

Are fruit juices with high fructose corn syrup unhealthy for my child?

Are fruit juices with high fructose corn syrup unhealthy for my child?

Absolutely!: Milk and water are the only fluids kids need to drink. Juice, soda, sugared drinks of any type only introduce empty calories. Is it better to use canned pumpkin or fresh pumpkin? Canned pumpkin pie mix or just plain canned pumpkin?

Is it better to use canned pumpkin or fresh pumpkin? Canned pumpkin pie mix or just plain canned pumpkin?

Fresh but celebrate!: I believe in fresh fruits&veggies/shopping in the periphery of the store. However, if you have a family recipe or something that you use once per year and it's canned pie mix, go for it! Generally speaking - fresh/single ingredients are better than mixtures/processed foods since you know more about what you're mixing with the single ingredients.
