Why do you ask?: If you are being screened for wilson's disease, finding no copper in your urine is good news. If none's detectable, the physician needs to call the pathologist in charge of the lab and ask why -- there's a problem. Any test has a risk of being a false negative or even false positve for that matter. Heavy metal toxicity/poisoning is a very difficult issue, and has been a challenge for a lot of doctors.
