No matter the label, irritability & aggression can often be extinguished by behavioral therapy that identifies triggers & uses consistent consequences. Abilify (aripiprazole) & Risperdal are fda-approved & work in low doses.40-70% of kids with ASD also have adhd. Intuniv, used for adhd, often has a " mellowing" effect.
