Contractions Or Diarrhea Cramps
I have cramps that come in waves at night. I endure about 30 min of the horrid pain before I can finally pass diarrhea. The pain comes like contractions. After the diarrhea I'm fine. No nausea. Ideas?
See a GI doctor: You need to be examined by a gastroenterologist. This may be due to diverticular disease, although unusual at your age, or possibly by some inflammatory process adjacent to the colon or rectum. But for specific diagnosis and approach to treatment you must be seen. Good luck. ...Read more

Haven't been feeling good for about the last 4-6 weeks. I have been having really bad upset stomach episodes that is accompanied with pain, also I'm having really bad cramps that is similar to a menstral cramp and a contraction. I've been having diarrhea a
I'm: I'm sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. Unfortunately, it is not possible to be sure what is causing your symptoms. Certainly, frequent diarrhea lasting weeks is approaching 'chronic' and should be evaluated by a physician in person. I'm concerned that you are becoming dehydrated from your loose stool, causing your weakness and dizziness. Electrolytes can also become depleted. Pelvic pain may be from bowel irritation or infection and your stool should be tested, alone with some other basic labs. It is not uncommon for bowel inflammation to cause low back pain. There can also be non-infectious causes of your symptoms (thyroid disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, etc). I recommend making an appointment with a primary care physician or GI specialist and staying well hydrated until your visit. ...Read more
Contraction like cramps after food intake, yellow diarrhea stool for 2yrs which smells extremely like vomit. What could it be?
IBD: With that long a history of these symptoms, you need to have an examination and some stool studies, blood tests, and a colonoscopy at the very least to determine the reason for your symptoms. I would be suspicious of an Inflammatory Bowel Disease like Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis but could also be a chronic infection or irritable bowel disease. Get checked!!! ...Read more

Maybe: Sometimes when women are in early labor they will experience uncomfortable menstrual-like cramps with a little diarrhea. Diarrhea from other causes, like something you ate, can also cause cramping that can feel the same. Monitor for contractions that happen every 5 to 10 minutes and are starting to take your breath away or your water breaking. Call your doctor if you are not sure. ...Read more

Help I am 47 old female. I have chills bad stumach cramps and diarrhea. What's going on. And what do I do?
I wondering is it normal to have diarrhea at 34 weeks with cramps I have not had diarrhea in long time?
Diarrhea not normal: It is not normal to have diarrhea, so one can look for the usual causes of temporary diarrhea, with temporary meaning it will go away in a day or a few days. Causes may include stomach viruses, contaminated food, medication effects, any food that just didn't agree with the stomach or intestines (and caused rapid transit of the stool), etc... If symptoms are a lot, a doctor can evaluate. ...Read more

ARealPainInTheButt: There's this thing called the "gastro-colic reflex, " in which the intestines (especially colon) start gearing-up to digest right away, while you are eating. In some people this reflex gets exaggerated and all Hell (and S--t) breaks loose. This indicates an oversensitive gut, often triggered by certain foods. It's often called "Irritable Bowel, " so see your doctor to help you figure it all out. ...Read more
