Contact Dermatitis Rash On Groin
I have 3 different types of rashes on my body. Diagnosed with contact dermatitis on hands but now patches on shins and little "bites" on elbows/arms?
Contact dermatitis?: Good morning, it is possible that you had contact with the same contact allergens in other areas of body, based on the chance of having exposed to the same allergen. It is also possible that you do have an tendency to develop a generalized dermatitis which is called atopic dermatitis. Certain conditions such as psoriasis can sometimes be confused with other dermatoses. See your doctor, please.
I've had pin head like rash on my ankles for about 1 wk. Dr. Said contact dermatitis, I think petechae. No other symptoms. When should I worry?
Rash: If it is petechiae your doctor would have told you it petechiae. If it spreads then it is a concern and needs to be worked out
Contact dermatitis rash stopped itching after several days but still red. When will it fade away, will it turn brown after redness? How soon will it go?
You would need to: Take a small amount of the product you think you may be allergic to and tape it on your forearm (not a lot or you could have a severe allergic reactioand if a rash appears there in the next 72 hours you are likely allergic to some component in that product. The problem is you still don't know what the actual ingredient is, that is what we have patch testing at doctors offices for. Hope that hellp
Contact dermatitis: You need to clean the area to avoid further contact. Steroid creams may be helpful. There are varying strengths. Your doctor can prescribe stronger creams that may work better than over the counter. It the rash does not respond to creams, steroid pills are also effective. Benadryll pills or cream may also help the symptoms until the steroids start to work. Be aware benadryll can make you sleepy
Contact dermatitis rash stopped itching and is same (red/dark brown)for 19 days. Not itchy just same, ugly dark brown/red. Why is it same, why not fading?
PIH: It could be post inflammatory hyper pigmentation. It. At fade a bit with time. Or you can try skin lighteners to speed to fading.
Contact dermatitis: If the contactant is not identified, it can recur. There are barrier creams available from your dermatologist as well as anti inflammatory medications and patch tests to help determine what is causing this.

Contact dermatitis-rash same for several days. When will it start healing? Rash is there for 5 days, still same red itchy swollen. When will it go away
1-2 Weeks: Inflammation from a rash can take time to resolve. I would first suggest you remove anything that could be a possible cause of the rash. Once the cause is removed it can take anywhere between a week or two weeks for the inflammatory products to dissipate from your system. Once the inflammatory products are gone then the redness and itchiness should resolve.
Perioral dermatitis: Is relatively common. It has unknown etiology. If persists, please, see a physician. Can be treated with antibiotics or antifungals if deemed appropriate by a physician.See 1 more doctor answer
Can irritant contact dermatitis cause red butterfly rash on face? Rash does not hurt or itch but feels hot when it is red?
Possible: Malar ("butterfly") rash could be caused by contact dermatitis, for instance due to cosmetic products. However, malar rash, particularly when very sensitive to the sun, can be a feature of lupus or other autoimmune diseases. Usually other symptoms and lab abnormalities would be present, so you should be evaluated for the rash by your doctor.See 1 more doctor answer
Does Benadryl (diphenhydramine) help contact dermatitis rash go away or does be Benadryl (diphenhydramine) only help with itching not the swelling?
Contact dermatitis: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and other antihistamines treat reactions that are cause by histamine release, like hives (urticaria). Contact dermatitis is inflammation driven by cells of the immune system called lymphocytes. Taking Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for contact dermatitis will make you sleepy but doesn't reduce itch or inflammation. Contact dermatitis responds to topical and if severe enough, oral steroids.
How to treat contact dermatitis itchy rash that seem to spread although I avoid the cause of irritation? What to put on it except corticosperoid cream?
Rash on elbow skin in olecranon region. Not sure if contact dermatitis from band aid, or something else.
Keep it clean: Moisturize it if dry and chaffed, then apply hydrocortisone 1% OTC twice a day for few days, avoid the band aid, if that doesn't help see your doctor
Rash now 14 days. Dr visit last thursday, contact dermatitis. Symptoms are not better. No relief from red raised itchy bumps what can I do?
Re-evaluation: Depending on the treatment, allergic contact dermatitis can last several days to a month. If would be worthwhile to re-check with a doctor and specifically a dermatologist to confirm the contact dermatitis diagnosis and offer perhaps a different course of treatment. Don't suffer.
Diagnosed w/ irritant contact dermatitis 5 days ago. Given Floucinonide. Rash still spreading and very painful. Why? Can I take advil (ibuprofen) for pain?
See dermatologist: Whenever a rash is spreading and becoming very painful (unless deeply scratched), it is an alarming sign and you need to see a dermatologist ASAP. If the rash is confined to only one vertical half of the body, then I would suspect shingles. If it is widespread, it needs be examined and treated ASAP.
Could contact dermatitis cause red burning vulva pain, only on labia minors only. There is no rash on outside labia. Thanks?
Yes: Spermacide, new dtergents, etc. Might try some Hydrocortisone cream and topical anesthetic if it's really bothering u and keel an eye out for ulcers or a yeast infection. If a contact dermatitis it is generally a broader location but whatever is occurring it it generally self limited. Good luck.
