Constipation Lead Hemorrhoids Laxatives Cause Any
I know that constipation could lead to hemorrhoids. But I've heard that laxatives could cause hemorrhoids too. Any thoughts?
I have been constipated for 5 days now, tried increasing water, 3 days of laxatives and stool softeners. Strained so hard have hemorrhoids, help?

Avoid constipation: Hemorrhoids are exacerbated by constipation and the "pushing" necessary. Foods high in fat tend to constipate you. Foods high in fiber favor looser stools. Fruits vegetable, whole grains are excellent sources of fiber. Also, fiber only works if u are well hydrated. Drink plenty of fluids to keep stools soft. Constipation and: Hemorrhoid management work together. Increasing fiber--whole grain bread/cereal, fruits and veggies--generous water intake and more exercise should help regularity. Constipation causes us to stay on the toilet longer and push harder which can cause hemorrhoids to swell and become symptomatic.
