Constipation In Infants Home Remedies
Depends: Home remedies include regular exercise, naturel fiber found in fruit, veggies and grains, prunes and hydration. However, if one has used laxatives regularly, these remedies may no longer be effective, as the bowel gets used to needing laxatives to work properly. If this is the case, talk to your doctor about retraining your bowel. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

See below: Constipation can present in several ways in general we would not expect constipation to present itself in an association with your menstruation. Several questions would help diagnose your problem. To include how often you normally move your bowels. Do you normally have a problem with constipation. Do you normally have pain in your pelvic and lower back area when you're constipated. Is your menstruation regular? Was this menstruation worse than your usual? Do you usually have cramping and discomfort at the time of your menstruation? A good rule of thumb in evaluating your bowel moment would include: bowel movement 1 to 3 times a day, the consistency of a banana, possibly floating, and six inches to a foot long. Other possibilities and more likely based on the small amount of data that I presently have is that you're having some type of hormone imbalance. Would suggest saliva testing to include estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA. We would be happy to further discuss this issue in the concierge service at https://www. Healthtap. How many days and what kind of home treatments are enough before seeking medical treatment for constipation is necessary?
Try OTC laxatives...: Constipation is common and usually caused by a benign process such as change in diet, activity, travel, or medications. Try eating more fiber, taking otc fiber supplements (e.g. Metamucil), otc laxatives (e.g. Milk of magnesia, (magnesium hydroxide) miralax) or getting more exercise. If the constipation lasts for more than a few weeks and/or is associated with significant abdominal pain or rectal bleeding see a doctor. ...Read more
I sometimes face constipation problem. Is there any home treatment instead of medicine? If yes, please mention.
Yes: Fiber should help. Other things to try are prunes. I would also encourage trying to establish a morning bowel routine after eating breakfast and having something to drink (coffee works well). Look into MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) as it is a nn-absorbable salt based product that makes it easier to go (not a systemic medication). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
What to do if I am suffering from gass trouble and constipation from last few years and tired off taking medicines. I want some home remedy type treatment.?
Not enough fluids: Fiber be it dietary or supplemental should be thought of as concrete mix from home depot. If you add the right amount of water it is not runny like diarrhea or hard from not drinking enough fluids or from excess caffeine and alcohol. More fiber without drinking fluids will make constipation worse. Avoid caffeine and alcohol, both of which contribute to constipation. Need a minimum of 80-100 oz/day ...Read more
Haven't had a bm in 4 days and am severely uncomfortable. Took ducolax with no effect. Do you have a home remedy I can use? I'm 40 yrs old and having to take pain meds for my back which in turn cause my constipation.
You: You are right in that pain medication can cause constipation. Dulcolax is a good idea though it can take a while to work. Things you can do for constipation include drinking more fluids, walking, and increasing fiber. You can also try purchasing glycerin suppositories. To use, gently insert one suppository as instructed and try to hold it in for as long as you can, at least 10 minutes. Use these twice a day until resolved. However, if you develop abdominal pain, fever, or vomiting, it could be something besides constipation so if those occur you would have to see a physician. ...Read more

I am a breast feeding mother of 14 weeks infant. Nipples crack few times. Wat is the home remedy for it?
CONSTIPATION IN: Infant: if problem since birth, e.g. Delayed passage of meconeum followed by ongoing constipation needs to rule out "hirschsprung disease". Breast fed babies can have a bowel movement every 5-7 or more days; as long as stool is firm, not to worry. Sometimes in formula fed babies, change of formula to a whey protein containing formula helps. Check with your child's pediatrician to find out the caus. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
What is the best way to relieve an 8 month infant of constipation? He was 2 months premature, does this affect what I can and cannot give him?
Pear juice: 2 to 4 oz of pear juice for infants once or twice daily can help with constipation. The juice contains sorbitol, a natural sugar which is not well absorbed intestinally.
