It may clear: The current episode but if you don't diagnose or treat the reason for the constipation, you may be missing the diagnosis of a potentially serious problem. When I take colon cleanse to use the bathroom I'm good but when I stop I'm constipation?

When I take colon cleanse to use the bathroom I'm good but when I stop I'm constipation?

Use sparingly: The problem with many cleanses is that they can work in the same way as laxatives. Unfortunately, your body begins to depend on their use, for bowel movements. As a result, constipation is common, when you stop. A good approach might be to cut down on the cleanses while you increase your intake of fruits, and vegetables and fiber. Drink lots of, water. Adding so, e movement would also, help.

Past 4 months I have constant constipation with brown/yellowish spots on stool that last to 3-4 wks without aid of colon cleanse. Anemic. What is this?

Not anemia: Constipation is almost always secondary to your dietary intake. Look at all the foods that you have been eating. Eliminate those foods known to cause it-I.e. The grains: rice, barley, oats; also milk and bananas. It should clear in just a few days time.

What can I expect starting a natural colon cleanse?

What can I expect starting a natural colon cleanse?

Depends: Depends on what you mean by "natural colon cleanse." technically, the colon is cleansing itself all the time, as long as we eat enough fiber to give our stool bulk and insure that toxins are bound and carried out. Some people take various products for colon cleanses. Many of these contain senna or other laxative. I discourage these products unless you are constipated.

I purchased tea for colon cleanse is that safe?

Likely just laxative: Most of these teas contain senna (cascara), which is a natural stimulant laxative. It is fine to use once in a while for occasional constipation, but chronic use can cause your colon to become dependent on the chemical to move at all. There really isn't anything in there "cleansing" your colon. Just making you have a bowel movement.

Are colonoscopy preps essentially the same thing as a colon cleanse?

No: Colon preps are carefully studied to get the colon clean enough that the endoscopist can carefully examine the lining of your colon and not miss a polyp or tumor. Colon cleanse does not get that kind of study and may or may not work. If your colon does not get clean enough for a thorough then you need to do it again...Neither you nor your endoscopist will be happy about that.

Orginal colon cleanse works for to lose weight..

Orginal colon cleanse works for to lose weight..

Not recommended, but: I'M ALL FOR IT IF by "cleanse" you mean adopting a healthy lifestyle with routine exercise, cutting out tobacco, reducing alcohol & sugary drinks, minimizing highly processed foods & fats, & adding in lean proteins, whole fruits, vegetables, & nuts. DON'T DO IT IF instead you mean taking some fad diet, enema, colonic, or purgative to lose weight or supposedly rid your body of unspecified "toxins."

Can any doc tell me what's the best colon cleanse?

Depends: If you were looking just to clean out your colon a cheap treatment would be magnesium citrate which is available over-the-counter at any Wal-Mart or drug store. Usually 2 bottles of magnesium citrate will clean you out. If you were looking for a complete cleanse you can try GoLYTELY (polyethylene glycol) which is a prescription. The better question is why are you doing the colon cleanse?

What works better a colon cleanse or colon hydrotherapy?

Don't waste your $: Healthtap physicians have repeatedly addressed this subject with a clear "no" answer to colonics. There is virtually no value to colon flushes, cleansers, enemas, irrigation machines when the technique is accomplished to "detox" or eliminate "accumulated waste." the "no" response also applies to liver detoxes! There are few real health benefits, but sigificant unjustified risk. Don't "cleanse".

Is a product call purer Colon cleanse is it safe to us if you want to diet?

Is a product call purer Colon cleanse is it safe to us if you want to diet?

Probably & No Value: The vehicle we drive for a lifetime constantly performs very selective absorption & cleaning, body wide 24/7 via a huge number of mechanisms. Many laxative agents are on the market, some of which can be helpful for constipation or colon examinations, but colon cleanse products are zero value for dieting, just laxative concoctions sold to those looking for easy/magic.
