If i'm still constipated after a fleet enema (sodium bisphosphate) and dulcolax, what can I try next?
I have been really constipated for almost a week so I did fleet Enema (sodium bisphosphate). It worked great but I feel I may have squeezed it in too forcefully. ??
Constipation causes: Most cases of constipation are secondary to the diet. I noticed that you also listed that you also had low thyroid output. Which is better to relieve slight constipation due to eating too many vegetables, a hot water enema or a fleet enema (sodium bisphosphate)?

In addition, add fiber supplement such as citrucel (one table spoon in 8 oz of water daily). If the above is not improved, add MiraLAX (otc, one table spoon in 8 oz of water, daily to bid). Other agents are linzess, amitiza (lubiprostone). Work close with drs. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
