My throat was extremely dry 2 weeks ago. Now it is just a constant tickle in my throat and cough drops don't help. I can't sleep. What do I do?

Antihistamines: The most common reason for having a throat tickle is allergy. You may or may not have runny/itchy eyes & nose with sneezing; but it is worth a try. Daily, non-sedating claritin, (loratadine) zyrtec, or Allegra should do the trick. This may be a seasonal thing, or may be year round. Antihistamine : Try OTC Antihistamine like Loratadine etc and keep an eye on the color of secretions if these turn to dark yellow or green you will need Antibiotics. Question?: I presume you are asking for a diagnosis of the cause of tickle and cough. The chest X-rays & exam of the lungs are normal, as expected, since the problem is likely in your throat. Did anyone check a throat swab? Have you tried warm salt/sugar water gargles?
