Doctor can check: A person who cannot stop coughing needs to be evaluated and treated, by her doctor. Coughing should not be nonstop. Her doctor can examine her to see if there is something wrong in her throat, such as an unusual swelling. Her doctor can check the lungs to see if there is bronchospasm (which can be helped by inhalers), or any croupy barky symptoms.

See a doctor: Vomiting after a coughing fit is called post-tussive emesis. It can be caused by chronic sinus problems or chronic allergies but can also be caused by pertussis. You should see a primary care doctor to help sort it out.

There's this tickling feeling in the back of my throat and I constantly cough! How to cure this?

Antihistamines: The most common reason for having a throat tickle is allergy. You may or may not have runny/itchy eyes & nose with sneezing; but it is worth a try. Daily, non-sedating claritin, (loratadine) zyrtec, or Allegra should do the trick. This may be a seasonal thing, or may be year round. If it is more of a constant thing, then switch your daily antihistamine every 2-3 months to maintain the effect.

Same response...: Time to get checked by your doctor, who will take an appropriate history, perform examination, and order testing (things we can't do for you here through healthtap). Please pursue evaluation asap for either reassurance (you certainly sound concerned) or appropriate treatment (based on your provider's findings). Be well--.

Time to see MD: There are numerous ailments common to your symptoms. You need to be first evaluated by a physician to determine the source. The number of signs and symptoms require full examination and testing. The dental aspect can be done after ruling our more serious problems. Good luck. Make an appointment.

Possible nerve: You may have a nerve irritation or entrapment (called a radiculopathy) coming from your neck and/or lumbar spine. You would benefit from imaging studies such as an xray, initially, followed by an MRI if your xrays are normal and you are still having symptoms. In the meantime, using an over the counter anti-inflammatory may help and see an orthopedic spine specialist.

I have a cold tingling sensation at the back of my throat, could it be from drinking lemon water? Also tingling and numbness in hand

I have a cold tingling sensation at the back of my throat, could it be from drinking lemon water? Also tingling and numbness in hand

See MD: Hand numbness likely is due to pressure on the nerve either from damage, inflammation or direct pressure. Throat sensation can be topical in nature - not likely lemon water, but excess acid could irritate it. This may also be nerve related. So, get to the MD and find out what is going on. You may be referred to some specialists as needed. Good Luck.

Viral vs bacterial: Difficult to say what may be occurring without examining you, checking your vital signs and if needed, a throat culture. These findings may be due to a viral syndrome or a bacterial infection.

Have a pain under my left shoulder blade that hurts when I cough or clear throat. The pain radiates down arm with little finger tingling?

Have a pain under my left shoulder blade that hurts when I cough or clear throat. The pain radiates down arm with little finger tingling?

Pinched nerve: Because patients having cardiac problems can have these symptoms, you should have this ruled out. But the most common cause is an irritation of a nerve in the neck by a bone spur or herniation that can cause pain or numbness that runs down the arm into the hand. An MRI can usually show the cause of the problem if it does not resolve. Thank you for the question.
