No smoking or very very little occasional Marijuana use, have "minor" chest congestion, constant throat, chest tickle, no cold symptoms. I'm 35 yr old?
Bronchiitis: Sounds like it might be a touch of bronchitis that is viral in nature. You likely don't need antibiotics, and could just "tough it out". But if you are constantly coughing and clearing your throat you could try over the counter anti tussive medication such as dextromethorphan = robitussin or delsym. Antihistamines: The most common reason for having a throat tickle is allergy. You may or may not have runny/itchy eyes & nose with sneezing; but it is worth a try. Daily, non-sedating claritin, zyrtec, or Allegra should do the trick. This may be a seasonal thing, or may be year round. If it is more of a constant thing, then switch your daily antihistamine every 2-3 months to maintain the effect. ...Read more
