Left sided headache: Try taking some Motrin or tylenol (acetaminophen) for the headache. If you are having colored drainage or discharge from the nose, then you may need antibiotics. A few squirts of afrin in the left may help with the headache. Do not use it more than three days in a row. Try irrigating the nose on the left with saline (one tsp salt to one quart of water). Few things: First, be sure you are not overusing pain meds. His causes analgesic rebound. Next, be sure you have given prophylactic meds a chance, which it sounds like you have. If you know it is migraine for sure, you can try riboflavin 400mg per day.
