I have been taking protonix. The the past few days I have started having constant hunger pangs. It feels like I have not eaten at all. Protonix?
Protonix: Hunger pangs are a nonspecific symptom. Protonix may cause diarrhea, but I am not aware of it causing abdominal pain. Your distress may be due to pylorospasm, gastritis, peptic ulcer, gall bladder disorder,etc. If symptoms persist see your physician for evaluation and appropriate tests will be ordered. getting hunger pains so severe I can't focus. eat good portions. I am overall healthy. 4 days now with constant hunger? no new med or activities.
What changed?: Assuming that you are eating enough and are healthy, I would wonder what,happened 4 days ago. This could be related to any number of emotional issues, for example, job change, break-up, new boyfriend , graduation, and the list goes on. I'm experiencing constant hunger pains. I eat very healthy. This started this week. I eat, then still feel neverending aching pains of hunger.
Finished abx for h pylori on jan 23. Now my 1 & only symptom is back. Constant hunger pains. What is causing this? I cry all day. It's horrible.
See a GI: Hi, i did not see that an egd was done in the procedures that you have listed. I think u need to see a GI to determine if it's indicated. Also please take all the information regarding how your h pylori was diagnosed and how it was treated ( was eradication confirmed?)alongwith all the previous test results for your consultation.
