Post-nasal drip...: It sounds like you have a post-nasal drip which is causing bronchospasm which in turn causes the cough. A prescription steroid nasal spray in addition to antibiotics if your doctor thinks you have a sinus infection may be needed to get this cough under control. Cough: Most likely cause is postnasal drainage down throat. Second is acid reflux. Third is cough, sputum, and/or irritation from chest.
