Can post nasal drip cause constant feeling of something stuck in throat for 3 months? Goes away when I eat and for a min after brushing nack of tounge

Possible, see more: The feeling of "post nasal drip" associated with the feeling of something in the throat (often call "globus symptom") may be due to excessive mucous production such as with a cold or allergies however it is often that the mucous accumulates in the throat because it does not pass through the esophagus to your stomach smoothly. This is the case in patients with esophageal reflux due to esophageal spasm. Other reasons for swallowing disorder are strictures, tumor, achalasia, diverticulum, or altered anatomy. You may need to see doctor to evaluate this problem. ...Read more

Globus Pharyngis: I've heard it diagnosed as globus pharyngis or hystericus. It's a lump in the throat feeling w/o actual cause. It is usually anxiety, can be GERD or post-nasal drip. I have this one dark vein in back of throat. Also it looks like I have red/white craters on my tonsils, and also I see excessive saliva, and sometimes it feels like I have food stuck in throat but when I swallow it won’t go away?

Otolaryngologist: Have a thorough examination by an Otolaryngologist. The specks are probably tonsillar stones which are old food and other debris. They are usually insignificant. Anxiety can cause a sensation of a lump in the throat. I doubt that the vein is pathological. For peace of mind an examination by a throat specialist will be helpful. ...Read more

I've been choking easily, difficulty swallowing, constant headaches, feeling like if there is something stuck in throat.

Esophageal disorder: Your symptoms could be related to esophageal function versus a scarring or narrowing of the esophagus, and deserve further workup. How they tie into a headache is unclear. If your problem is actually swallowing then it could be neurologic. If it's that food gets stuck on the way down it's more likely the esophagus and you should see a gastroenterologist. ...Read more

Antihistamines: The most common reason for having a throat tickle is allergy. You may or may not have runny/itchy eyes & nose with sneezing; but it is worth a try. Daily, non-sedating claritin, (loratadine) zyrtec, or Allegra should do the trick. This may be a seasonal thing, or may be year round. If it is more of a constant thing, then switch your daily antihistamine every 2-3 months to maintain the effect. ...Read more

Hi I have constant feeling I got a lump in my throat if I turn my neck to the left I feel as if my throat is being pulled out I can't even bare anythi?

You need to be seen: By a medical professional. A physical exam with expert inspection and palpation (feeling) of your neck will shed much light. Additional imaging including ultrasound may be helpful. Your symptoms suggest some type of obstruction that is made worse when the tissues are strained by turning your neck: tumor, abscess/infection, inflammation, etc. Only a personal exam can help in this situation. Good luck ...Read more
