Reflux: Sounds like acid reflux. I would try Omeprazole 20 mg OTC every evening for 2 weeks. If the symptoms persist see your doctor or GI specialist. Elevate the head of your bed and avoid eating after 7 pm. Quitting smoking and losing weight may be very helpful ...Read more

Multiple sx: You relayed multiple symptoms which may not necessarily be interrelated. Bloating is the sensation of distention of your abdomen, such as when we have excess of intestinal gas or when women approach their periods. Shortness of breath, although not common in most cases of bloating, may occasionally be seen in extreme abdominal distention. Irregular heart rate is not related to bloating by any means. ...Read more

Shortness of breath in pregnancy and frequent burping?

Common: Common during pregnancy. You need more oxygen during pregnancy and the body adapts to this. Also as the growing baby/uterus pushes against your diaphragm (muscle of breathing) your breathing might feel more labored. Burping occurs because the hormones in your body relax the muscles of the GI tract, causing more gas and bloating resulting in frequent burping. Both reverse after delivery. ...Read more

Without ↑information: & detective work, impossible to say at a distance. Yet your theory (you're the only one who can perceive your symptoms) does make sense & you demonstrate an understanding of basics of differential diagnosis methodology. Like everyone, you are your own primary medical decision maker (physician if you will), regardless how competent, or not. Beware, reflux (long term) does drive esophageal cancer. ...Read more
