I see: U had hiatal hernia surgery and a lap band too.

The only advise I can give you try to eat slowly and speak slowly too as you may swallow to much air. Try to lie down on the left side maybe it will help burping things up. Aslo, try to stay away for a while from tums (calcium carbonate). It could generate co2 in your stomach... ...Read more

Wrong drug: Protonix (pantoprazole) is not for postnasal drip. Protonix (pantoprazole) decreases gastric acid. I would see you physician and get treated for the postnasal drip. This treatment would help most of your symptoms. ...Read more

Difficulty burping: May have reflux/ GERD? H pylori so ranitidine/ prevecid may help. Also rarely may have strictures but that is rare unless you have an underlying autoimmune disease or had severe reflux in the past.
