Go to ER: Unless you can see your PCP immediately you need to go and be professionally evaluated. Shortness of breath suggests something in your lungs and blood in mucous? From where is the mucous? Maybe viral infectio: For significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see physician & get a strep throat test & culture. Antibiotics are imperative for Strep Throat. Try saltwater gargles. Mix tsp of salt in 8 oz of warm water – gargle w this several times/day. You can gargle w Aloe Vera juice a couple of times per day. Could be fluid: It could be fluid in your ear combined with a sinusitis. When the nose is congested it can affect the tube that runs from the back of your nose to your ear leading to the formation of fluid. See your Family Doc: It sounds to me like you have several issues going on at same time. Post-nasal drip could be from allergies which could lead to ear discomfort b/c Eustachian tube dysfunction. Otitis externa?: Unless your eardrums have been perforated, there should not be blood in the earwax . The presence of blood suggests that you have been sticking something into the ear canal and the trauma is causing the bleeding. Alternatively, water might have got into your ear causing an infection.
