How long does oxycodone 30 mg prescription last?

How long does oxycodone 30 mg prescription last?

About one year: If you're asking how long your prescription is viable at the pharmacy, that would vary shop to shop but would surely be invalid after one year. If you're asking how long the oxycodone would stay effective in your medicine cabinet, the answer is, again, about one year. I suggest my patients dispose of these types of meds after 12 months. Hope this helps. Good luck. ...Read more

I've had a prescription for oxycodone oxycontin for over 5 years due to ba recently and with the hard de how long will it take for it to be out of ur?

Oxy IR & ER 5 yrs: Hello. Didn't understand the "to ba recently & with the hard de". You've been taking IR and ER forms for 5 years. You didn't mention your current dose. Boils down to half lives. (It's longer for ER version.) How your body metabolizes these meds is important. If your body metabolizes these medications slowly, then they are going to linger around much longer than stated half lives & show on tests ...Read more

Can I take 5mg of oxycodone after taking 5mg of roxicet? I had a 5mg roxicet left over from another prescription and took it but it isn't working well

Mixing pain meds: Roxicet is basically oxycodone combined with acetaminophen (tylenol) so taking both would be equivalent to taking 10 mg of oxycodone. Assuming you have been on oxycodone then the additional 5 mg should pose no problems

Good luck ...Read more

Prescription of oxycodone from 5 months ago I was prescribed after a csection if I take ones that are left for pain can I fail a d/t even with script?

Yes: I would think so if you were taking it for something other than it was prescribed, especially if the area of pain is in a region distinct from initial pain. Usually a bad idea to have those kinds of medications lying around after the condition for its intended use is resolved. ...Read more

I've had a prescription for oxycodone for 5 years for back pain I quit taking them on the 10th if I took one today how long would it stay in my urine?

Less than a week: Typically this drug is not detectable by the urine drug screen after 4 to 5 days. It depends on the condition of your liver and if other drugs are present and competing for metabolism. It also depends on the sensitivity and specificity of the test itself. Hope this helps! ...Read more

Spouse's prescription is 2x60mg Oxycontin + 6x10mg Oxycodone daily for chronic pain from severe wreck yrs ago. Worried its too much & addictive or is that ok?

Spouse's prescription is 2x60mg Oxycontin + 6x10mg Oxycodone daily for chronic pain from severe wreck yrs ago. Worried its too much & addictive or is that ok?

You are correct: It is definitely addictive and if you stopped suddenly, you would have withdrawal. You likely have developed tolerance and require higher dosing, and this may become a more challenging issue in future. Would definitely suggest a pain specialist, and work with someone you trust. There are some newer approaches which may benefit you. ...Read more

Consult your doctor: Pain after bunion surgery is very normal. Often the pain can last for several days after surgery. You need to elevate your foot and keep it from being below your heart level. My mother I law has a prescription for oxycodone for pain can she use her prescription for 800 motrin in if she only uses oxycodone in am?

Possibly: Obviously, we are talking about completely different medications. The oxycodone is a potent pain medication but is different then the Ibuprofen which is an NSAID. Not knowing your mother in law's medical conditions, Ibuprofen may be contraindicated particularly if she has heart, stomach, or kidney issues for example. You or your mother in law needs to speak to her physician ...Read more

What to do if I have a prescription from surgery I had in june for tylox, (oxycodone and acetaminophen) so should I say I had been taking that?

What to do if I have a prescription from surgery I had in june for tylox, (oxycodone and acetaminophen) so should I say I had been taking that?

For what purpose?: I don't understand your question. If you are being drug tested, and you have a valid recent opiate prescription, that is certainly something you can show them. However, if you are really using illicit drugs, it is FAR MORE IMPORTANT to face your drug problem and get help than it is to "beat" the drug test. If you have developed a drug problem, please get help. ...Read more
