I have hashimoto thyroidism, pituitary tumor, seizures, lesion on my brain and had multiple concussions. My calves are hurting bad what could this be?

Wow- a lot!: This can either be as simple as muscular if you have had any changes in excercise or even trauma (fall, seizure). Or it can be neurological, neuropathic pain due to your comorbidities or even the brain lesion. Or vascular such as a DVT or blood clot in your veins. I would recommend that you get evaluated at your earliest convenience. ...Read more

How easy is it to get a concussion.like can you get one on the power of your own neck muscles or by standing up too quickly.

How easy is it to get a concussion.like can you get one on the power of your own neck muscles or by standing up too quickly.

Probably not: Concussions are based largely on impact to the head. Other injuries can result from head movements like whiplash that don't involve impact and may produce post-concussive symptoms because the brain was moving around inside the skull and made an impact within the skull. The G-forces involved in whiplash are pretty extreme. Very hard for us to generate these forces ourselves. ...Read more

After a head to head hit in a recent football game, I got a slight stiffness/crick in my neck that soon went away. No other symptoms. Head concussion?

YouGotACrickcussion: If you have no symptoms now you're sitting pretty! And just a little neck stiffness does not qualify as a true concussion. More like a neck strain. With a concussion, the brain gets a good bounce inside the skull & you'd be left with a headache & other symptoms. You may or may not have blacked out,but the symptoms last a while, sometimes a long while. The spinal cord can experience something similar. ...Read more
