Not harmful: Computer eye strain is almost always due to eye dryness from sustained working. A palm massage will not do any harm and serves to spread the tears over the dry eye to relieve the strain. No effect: These activities in the normal way do not have any effect on intraocular pressure or the progression of ocular hypertension. Dry eyes can be: Exacerbated from focusing on a computer screen for long periods of time. Taking time every 15 minute to look away from the screen will help. Dryness: Computer use is drying and the cause of almost all symptoms experienced by this use is dryness. Many suggestions: Our eyes were not designed to focus on near objects for hours at a time without breaks. It's important to take at least 20 seconds every 10-20 minutes to focus on distant objects- you can also massage around your eyes, breathe deeply and move them in a circle.
