I just got my radiology report and it says enlarged right ovary 1.2cm complex septated cyst. What does that mean and how do you treat it?
Not that complex!: A cyst at a size of 1.2cm is not that big and probably represents a normal finding. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and have a 6.6cm complex septated cyst. Could this cause complications. Should cyst this size be removed? Dr says keep an eye on it.
Doc's right: Not sure what "complex" means here but septated cysts without associated mass are overwhelmingly benign. Rarely, larger cysts can twist the blood supply to the ovary and cause pain so be aware that if you develop acute "severe" pelvic pain on the side of cyst you should have a repeat ultrasound. Again, this is rare and you should be fine. ...Read more
