Talk to doctor: Many women will develop cysts in their life. The vast majority are benign, but some do develop into cancer. Having a ca 125 that low is a good sign, but no one can tell until the cyst is examined by a pathologist after surgery. After surgery, your doctor will be able to give you more detailed answers. ...Read more
My daughter diagnosed Complex Ovarian Cyst with septation and debris. 4.3 cyst. Pain and fear. Do these cyst normslly require surgery?
No: Most of the time in young women these cysts are functional/hemorrhagic cysts and resolve by themselves. If they keep enlarging, or become more symptomatic, surgery may be indicated. If there are imaging features suggestive of tumor rather than just hemorrhagic cyst surgery might also be indicated. ...Read more
4cm complex ovarian cyst. Mri can't ruleout neoplasm. Hysterectomy in apr. Age 37. Horrible pain, bloating, urinary incont. Bowel changes. Surgery?
May have to remove i: Complex ovarian cysts require closer monitoring and consideration of removal if they grow in size. The size is still not big enough to chase it and remove it right now. But an interval re-evaluation in 2-3 months will help to determine if it is increasing in size or not. If it grows over 6 months and the size is bigger than 6-7 cm, i would recommend surgical removal. But also get a ca125 level do. ...Read more

I have a complex ovarian cyst which when diagnosed had little symptoms. I'm now having pain everyday and horrible bladder pressure. Does this mean its growing. Ovary was 46 cc 2 months.
Had a complex ovarian cyst rmvd from my left ovary yr ago & just found out i've a simple cyst on the same ovary. Will it prevent me from ovulating?
Probably not.: A simple cyst is usually benign and will go away on its own. In fact when you ovulate, the egg is released from a cyst and then the cyst resolves. Cysts do not usually interfere with ovulation. Depending on the size and symptoms of this cyst, your doctor may want to repeat your ultrasound in 6 weeks to insure it has resolved or is not getting bigger or complex appearing. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Deep breath: Take a deep breath, no need to panic yet. It is 100% appropriate to follow a 62 Y.O. W/ a complex cyst, some turn out to be cancers but many do not. Follow-up ultrasound is critical, but may turn out to be nothing. Blood testing tumor markers is sometimes helpful but not always, and should only be done with a doctor who understands markers and what they mean. Please don't panic and best wishes! ...Read more
