I consulted dr they said 3.5cm complex left ovarian cyst with low level internal echoes within it so i m worried will i get concieve without any probl?
Need Fertility Exam: I would refer you to a fertility specialist. Certainly a complex ovarian cyst can be secondary to endometriosis which can adversely affect fertility. Ovarian cyst resulting from polycystic ovary syndrome – a constellation of small cysts in the ovaries, irregular periods, elevated androgens – can contribute to fertility problems. A fertility exam is required for specific answers. ...Read more

Most common cause of such benign cysts are functional cysts that are very common in reproductive age females. Unless, presenting with symptoms (pain, nausea, vomiting, fever etc), your physician may opt to follow them with a repeat us in 3-6 months.
Unless you have strong family hx of cancer, or personal hx of cancer, there is a low level of suspicion for ovarian cancer. ...Read more
Please explain 20ml complex ovarian cyst containing internal echoes measuring 3.3 x 2.2 x 3cm also containing focal hyperechoic densities ?
Fibrin in cyst: Ovarian cysts frequently will have stuff inside. When they do not, it is a simple cyst. When there is bleeding in to the cyst, they become complex. This causes all kinds of findings on ultrasound . Blood clots look like clumps and fibrin can cause stranding . All usually clear up ...Read more

2x us over 6 weeks shows complex ovarian cyst with septated internal echoes. Grown 8mm in 6 wks. Now at 59mm. Blood cancer markers neg. What is likely?
Painful?: It looks like you have a GYN who is doing all of the right tests. So what does she/he recommend? In my practice, I recommend surgery for cysts this size that are painful. Cysts that are not can get serial ultrasounds. Most of my patients with cysts this size have opted for surgery since pain from these masses can escalate if they enlarge. Good luck to you in lovely Australia. ...Read more

Deep breath: Take a deep breath, no need to panic yet. It is 100% appropriate to follow a 62 Y.O. W/ a complex cyst, some turn out to be cancers but many do not. Follow-up ultrasound is critical, but may turn out to be nothing. Blood testing tumor markers is sometimes helpful but not always, and should only be done with a doctor who understands markers and what they mean. Please don't panic and best wishes! ...Read more

Ultrasound says complex ovarian cyst, septated, internal echos and avascular. Says could be possible haemorrhagic cyst but i'm worried of cancer?
Follow-up required: In a patient of your age, it is likely self-limited and very well could represent a hemorrhagic cyst. However, a repeat ultrasound 6 weeks following the first is suggested to document resolution or decrease in size and to re-evaluate for patency of the ovarian artery. ...Read more

I have an ovarian cyst. This month my period is very light to the point that i don't need to wear a pad. my pH levels are low can i still get pregnant?
OVARIAN CYST: Assuming that this ovarian cyst is an unruptured follicle, ovulation will not take place (the egg failed to break the follicle and be released). If this cyst has persisted for some time, it may not have an effect on your ability to become pregnant. Many cysts break , and then normal cycles can resume. Check with your health professional to make sure the cyst is simple and no surgery is required ...Read more

Dr said my blood count is low. 106. I asked is it due to iron. He didn't know. He said sometimes periods, but mine are not heavy. Ovarian cyst only .
He doesn't know ??: The diagnosis of iron deficiency is usually not difficult. It can be done by simple blood tests. I commend your doctor's honesty, but question his acumen (if you are accurately and fully reporting his assessment). Menstrual blood loss is most common cause of iron deficiency anemia in U.K., even among women who report light menses. Ovarian cyst does not cause iron deficiency. Rx is iron supplement ...Read more

I had a hysterectomy 4 months ago. All of my ovarian cyst symptoms are back. Is it okay to go back on my birth control ( ortho try-cyclene low)?
Yes: Unfortunately, removal of the uterus (hysterectomy) does not treat ovarian cysts. I would recommend seeing your ob/gyn for a sono to evaluate the ovaries before restarting your pills, however. Birth control has benefits but also risks, so you would want to make sure you are treating the right thing. ...Read more

Bad versus good: An documented ovarian cyst that produces pressure is not uncommon. However you don't say if the cyst is 3.6 centimeters or inches.
