4 days late. No sexual intercourse but fooled around naked genitals touching, 4 neg tests. Feeling naseus , how common is a baby or is this a std?

Time to see Dr.: Go to a dr or to planned parenthood & see what is going on - get an exam, etc. While you are there, please discuss appropriate birth control. You should not have ant contact w/ a penis for any reason without a condom and good birth control unless you want to get an std and/or get pregnant because both are possible when you fool around. Please take care of yourself. No guy is worth it - trust me. ...Read more

Is it common to misdiagnose syphilis? Is it normal to not do a bloodtest for this condition? My husband has a rash all over his body. Some spots remind me of chickenpox. The doc didn't do any tests he simply looked at him, said he has an std(we have been

Blood test needed: The rash sounds like the secondary stage of syphilis. New HIV also might be possible. I suspect some information is missing. Are you sure your husband is giving you the full story? Syphilis or HIV can't be diagnosed by exam alone; a blood test is needed to diagnose and to know the best treatment. You will need to be tested and treated (assuming you and your husband are sexually active together). ...Read more

After a hysterectomy, can blood tests for std's be performed at a STD testing site that is not the physician's office? Is it common enough?

After a hysterectomy, can blood tests for std's be performed at a STD testing site that is not the physician's office? Is it common enough?

Yes.: Today full std testing can be done via blood test only, there is no longer need to obtain any genital swabs or even urine samples. The hysterectomy would make no difference in any case. You can ask your regular family physician to test you, for peace of mind, or possible exposure, and ask them to draw the blood for the test. It's that simple. ...Read more

I got an STD test and im unsure what the results mean. I tested positive for HSV 1.10. Is that HSV 1? Common cole sores?

Depends on the Test: There are 2 tests for hsv. Both have a threshold of 1.10. This means that you were positive for hsv if your value was greater than 1.1. You would be positive for hsv1 if they used a type 1 test. You would be positive for hsv2 if they used a type 2 test. ...Read more
