No worries: There is no problem with taking two 21-day packs of birth control pills back to back in order to miss your period once in a while. There is no reason for concern, this will not affect the effectiveness of your birth control. You should be able to do this 2-3 times a year without problems. No!: I'd not recommend injections for contraception because they tend to give patients a long lasting problem with subsequent ovulation and menstruation as well! Stay with the Pills, or consider IUD-s, or barrier contraception! ...Read more

Can switch if u want: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time) is very common on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time. If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen then consider using a different birth control method. Clarify: If you have already been on Birth control pills, then switching to a new pack, yes, you are protected right away. But, if this is your first pack ever or a first pack after some break then you will need to use back up method for 2 weeks to be completely protected. Good Luck. ...Read more
