Likely heat rash: Heat rashes are very common especially in moist places like the groin, arm pits, and feet. They can take many forms and can itch or not. Usually triggered by hotter temps that you describe but there are substantial individual differences in the level of heat and moisture required for triggering. Allergy consult: The issue is complex and you should consult an allergist. Do realize that even though we can usually control the rash, not uncommonly no cause can be found despite exhaustive studies. In the meanwhile, try taking antihistamine 3 to 4 times a day to see if this may help. The dose needed for itchy skin is much higher than what is needed to control hay fever but even then it may not work. Read more
Photosensitive: It appears that you have developed a photosensitivity to the sun. You did not mention as to why long the bumps stayed with you after having been away from the exposure since this would also help to narrow down the possibilities. If you develop large and itchy hives, the condition is known as solar urticaria. The treatment is the same- avoid sun exposure. Read more
