Colonoscopy When You Have Your Period
I have been bleeding a lot from the rectum as much as my wife having her period at time more did colonoscopy and catscan but didn't find anything .
Im booked in for a colonoscopy in 4 days time and i have terrible cramps my period is due in 2 days,i cant wear tampons should i reschedule?
I have blood in my stool and I just recently had a colonoscopy that came back normal but I'm still bleeding at times it's just blood its as if I'm having a period with clots and all .

Am on the pill + tegretol. Have 12 days til next period but have old blood spotting and brighter red blood clots too, not large. Just had colonoscopy?
Tegretol: Low platelets from tegretol due to bone marrow supression can occur (rarely). This can lead to bleeding. (i order CBC to check rbc WBC and platelet counts periodically on my patients who take tegretol) also there is an increased risk of birth control failure with tegretol use. Or the breakthrough bleeding may be totally unrelated. See your doctor and get examined. You might want to get a CBC too. ...Read more
Bad gas/urination/anemia for over 2 years. Endoscopy/colonoscopy clean. Was told stress. Now I have a late period. Could it be a UTI or bad thyroid?
Seemingly unrelated: I'm not sure what the urination problem is, but "bad gas" is usually dietary related and anemia in a young woman such as yourself is often due to excessive menstrual bleeding. Stress may contribute to digestive issues and a late period. Maybe ok.: Menstral cycles are usually 28 days in length. Since some months have 31 days, there may be some months when you have more than one cycle.
