Why would bowel preps not work? Poor prep with colyte (polyethylene glycol). Now on 2 day prep starting w/ mag. Citrate. No bm after 9 hours. Followed directions exactly!
Scheduled for colonoscopy but afraid magnesium citrate won't clear my colon. Docqulace and bisacodyl failed to evacuate colon. Will the citrate work?
AlwaysAGuess; agent,: dose & response relationships with all the usual complex individual variables. A full bottle of citrate of magnesia will likely be far more effective than the other agents, especially if one stays physically active, fasts, take 2 days prior & chase with another bottle 1 day prior. Miralax, linzess, amitiza, lactulose, psyllium and glycerin suppositories don't work. Abdominal/pelvic CT normal. What can I do? Always constipated.
