Yes: In children, a normal appearing bowel on colonoscopy is encouraging, however, microscopic inflammation may exist. Make sure to follow up with your physician to review the results of the biopsies if you had symptoms that led to your procedure in the first place. If the procedure was for colon cancer screening, then biopsies are not important if no polyps were seen. ...Read more

No diagnostic test: is ever 100%. There are always false negatives and positives. In your case, your doctor was probably looking for kidney stones or infection or a problem with your ovary, not something in the colon. US has better sensitivity in kidney and ovarian problems than in colon problems. ...Read more
