Frequent floating stools that leave a clear haze on toilet water. Normal ct, colonoscopy, stool & 72hr fat test. Can i relax about pancreatic cancer?

I think so. : Given your age and the test that have been done already it would seem that pancreatic cancer is unlikely. Most common presentation of pancreatic cancer is painless jaundice (yellow eyeballs). Could be diet related. A nutrition consult with a food diary could be useful to determine the possible contributing factor. ...Read more

Im 34 w urq disc.&occ floating stool. Normal stool tests, CT scan, colonoscopy, u.S, hida scan, endoscopy=gerd/gast. Can i relax about pancreatic cancer?

Yes, you can : You mentioned nothing suspicious for pancreatic cancer. A normal ct scan is encouraging but is not 100% accurate. If there are suspicious symptoms or chances on a ct scan, a normal ca-19.9 (a blood test that is nearly specific for pancreatic cancer) would be reassuring. ...Read more

Dietary modification: You can try a gluten free diet. Ct scans, mri, and colonoscopy are not sensitive or specific when the symptoms are loose stools. Dietary modification is associated with less risk than continuing with invasive procedures. A nutritionist would also have recs on supplements you can try. ...Read more

Yes , incomplete: colonoscope is inadequate for complete diagnosis , first you should have repeat with good preparation , second as you already have have tubular adenoma , you need closer surveillance than those who did not have it.. . ...Read more

CT scan - 1.3cm ovoid focus fat adjacent sigmoid colon, trace inflammation of colon no diver. or colitis. What oculd the fat mass be? Cancer? 23 yrs m

Fat mass: This could be a lipoma (benign fatty tumor) or even an infarcted appendix epiploica. These are the normal fatty projections of fat that are attached to the colon. Sometimes these get twisted and die off. Speak with you doctor. 1.3 cm is a pretty small mass. Chances are its benign. ...Read more

Uc flare with thin stools, chunks of blood in stool, and frequency. Egd, colonoscopy, biopsies & digital perianal & rectal exam all normal. confused?

UC is long-term: Ulcerative colitis is a lifelong inflammatory disease of the lining of the large intestine and rectum, that may have systemic consequences, is often relapsing, and can lead to colon cancer. Flares may occur acutely, even after an unremarkable colon evaluation. Don't delay in ruling out superimposed infection, & seeking help from your gastroenterologist. Call him/her now-- ...Read more

Have Crohns. GI wants to do check-up colonscopy. Unilateral leg swelling w/ vein stick out; MRI, vein ultrasound, ABI, norm. Proceed with colonoscopy?

Have Crohns. GI wants to do check-up colonscopy. Unilateral leg swelling w/ vein stick out; MRI, vein ultrasound, ABI, norm. Proceed with colonoscopy?

Yes: Sometimes there is a microperforation with Crohns and a locatlized inflammatory process is set up where DVT occurs within the femoral or external iliac vein on the left side. This could produce the unilateral leg swelling which I assume would be on the left. If this proved to be such as on pelvic CT then anticoag and even a cava umbrella might be necessary and of course the colonoscopy. ...Read more

Can i relax about cancer?Urq disc.& floating stool.Normal blood/stool tests, CT scan, colonoscopy, ultrasound and hida scan, endoscopy(gerd/gastritis).

Relax: If all of those tests were normal then you have much higher chances of being injured in a car accident than having an intestinal cancer. Eat a good diet, exercise regularly and enjoy life. ...Read more

Should i worry about pancreatic cancer?Urq disc.&occ floating stool. Normal stool tests, CT scan, colonoscopy, u.S., hida scan, endoscopy=gerd/gast. Im 34

Probably not: It appears that all test are normal except for the egd or endoscopy showing gastritis. Assuming normal blood workup as well, i would say that it is not likely that you have pancreatic cancer. My suggestion is that you sit down with your doctor and discuss all tests results and treatment plan. Good luck! ...Read more

What is the risk of bowel perforation from CT colonography "virtual colonoscopy"??

What is the risk of bowel perforation from CT colonography "virtual colonoscopy"??

Not invasive.: A traditional colonoscopy is invasive; the fiber optic camera is passed through the colon, and therein causes the low risk of perforation of the colon. A CT colonography is not invasive; it's just a fancier CT scan, so there's nothing to directly cause a perforation. ...Read more

Can i relax about cancer?Urq disc.&occ floating stool.Normal blood/stool tests, CT scan, colonoscopy, ultrasound and hida scan, endoscopy=gerd/gastritis

I'd relax for now: Your pain and stool fat changes sound like gall bladder disease, though proven not present. Was the gerd region biopsied? If so and negative, your comprehensive and perhaps more than appropriate workup shows within the limits of present technology, you don't have a detectable cancer. Longstanding gerd can be a pre-cancerous change over the years however and may warrant future follow-up endoscopy. ...Read more

Pancreatic cancer?I had a pancreatic protocol ct/hida/liver, pancreas, CBC blood test/stool test/colonoscopy.All perfect.I still have light/yellow stool

Stop worrying: You have nothing to worry about except that fact that you are still a smoker, which i hope you'll stop. If everybody with light-colored stools consumed health-care dollars searching for pancreatic cancer, it'd be a huge waste. Evidently you're not even jaundiced.
