Finally, put a wet wash cloth on your neck and sit in a recliner with your feet up.I found that the prep for the colonoscopy was way worse than the procedure itself. Bless your heart! ...Read more

Can I still have colonoscopy if I've thrown up all the prep stuff and stool isn't liquid, just soft?

Unlikely: if you don't have clear stool then the camera on the colonoscopy can't pass through it. Try reading the instructions your doctor gave you. It might talk about what to do or a number to call if you can't tolerate your prep. Other people have this problem too. Sometimes you make another trip to pharmacy. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Continue prep: Continue the prep as prescribed. If you have not had good BMs prior to time for the procedure, let the doctor who is going to do the procedure know. If your colon is not cleared out, the doctor will not be able to see well enough for the colonoscopy to be of any value. You may need to be prescribed a different bowel prep. ...Read more
