Yes.: That is one of the main reasons for colonoscopy. The gastroenterologist usually can see every part of the colon wall and biopsy suspicious lesions. Often this is curative if found early. While not completely true, consider all polyps to be future cancers and most cancers come from polyps. Screening should begin at age 50 unless there is a history to suggest beginning earlier. ...阅读更多请查阅 1 更多医生回答
Colonoscopy results-tubular adenoma colon polyp, diverticulosis&hemorrhoids. I was told prep not complete-should I repeat colonoscopy sooner than 3yr?
Yes sometimes needed: it can be done at the same time (different scopes!). by performing both, you get anesthesia only once but get two procedures done, minimizing risks of future anesthesias. This is only done if both are medically needed (regardless of physician reimbursement), no need to do them always together. ...阅读更多请查阅 2 更多医生回答s
Should i worry about pancreatic cancer?Urq disc.&occ floating stool. Normal stool tests, CT scan, colonoscopy, u.S., hida scan, endoscopy=gerd/gast. Im 34
Probably not: It appears that all test are normal except for the egd or endoscopy showing gastritis. Assuming normal blood workup as well, i would say that it is not likely that you have pancreatic cancer. My suggestion is that you sit down with your doctor and discuss all tests results and treatment plan. Good luck! ...阅读更多请查阅 1 更多医生回答

Im 34 w urq disc.&occ floating stool. Normal stool tests, CT scan, colonoscopy, u.S, hida scan, endoscopy=gerd/gast. Can i relax about pancreatic cancer?
Yes, you can : You mentioned nothing suspicious for pancreatic cancer. A normal ct scan is encouraging but is not 100% accurate. If there are suspicious symptoms or chances on a ct scan, a normal ca-19.9 (a blood test that is nearly specific for pancreatic cancer) would be reassuring. ...阅读更多请查阅 1 更多医生回答
Colonscopy 2013 bright red rectal bleeding, diagnosis hemorrhoid . Appearing again & GI schedule colonscopy w/ anesthesia. suggesting incomplete last time?
Unreliable: Specialized cts that are designed to identify colon cancers (ct colonography) are available, but require a specific bowel prep and regimen to be effective. Routine ct scans will miss many small colon cancers that colonoscopy will find--colonoscopy remains the gold-standard. ...阅读更多请查阅 2 更多医生回答s
Can i relax about cancer?Urq disc.&occ floating stool.Normal blood/stool tests, CT scan, colonoscopy, ultrasound and hida scan, endoscopy=gerd/gastritis
I'd relax for now: Your pain and stool fat changes sound like gall bladder disease, though proven not present. Was the gerd region biopsied? If so and negative, your comprehensive and perhaps more than appropriate workup shows within the limits of present technology, you don't have a detectable cancer. Longstanding gerd can be a pre-cancerous change over the years however and may warrant future follow-up endoscopy. ...阅读更多
