Colonic Irrigation Surrey
Not necessary: The colon is a place where water and some nutrients are absorbed by one's body. Diarrhea occurs if one does not absorb the normal amount of water and nutrients from his poop (stool). If one has bowel problems, he can see his primary care doctor or a gastroenterologist. Colonic cleaning or irrigation is not natural, and can be dangerous if the person's chemical balance is distorted. ...Read more

No: There is no need for and no benefit of doing colon cleansings. Your colon cleanses itself by having bowel movements. There is no buildup of toxins anywhere in the colon. Colon cleansings are unnecessary and can be unhealthy. Stick with a high-fiber diet for good colon health! Good luck. ...Read more
Have ulcerative colitis in sigmoid and ascending colon/cecum (just confirmed by colonoscopy). Will enema treat this (allergic to NSAIDs)?
Consider allergy ref: Thanks for your question. Depending on the NSAID allergy, sometimes it can be desensitized through introduction of small amounts initially, then gradual increase in dose under supervision by an allergy specialist. However, would discuss the side effects/risks/benefits with a specialist. ...Read more
Redundant colon, candidate for elective colon resection. Linzess, miralax no help. Milk of mag or Sennokot 2-3x week helps.Use instead of surgery?
Chronic constipation: Most often, surgery is only considered as a last resort. For some people, having a bowel movement 2 to 3 times per week is normal. If you are able to achieve this using milk of magnesia, then I would not consider surgery at this time. It is always possible to have complications of surgery, and in your situation, it doesn't sound absolutely necessary. Fiber and hydration are key. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Do you mean mucous?: Anal discharge is most likely proctitis, seborrhea or anal fissure. Have you been cleared of std? Helminthic infections usually do not have rectal discharge. Death from sepsis perforations bowel infected cavity anastomosis site, yet autopsy said bowel unremarkable, how ?
There wud be evidence of sepsis, yes?
Autopsy report: If the patient had a perforated bowel, I would be extremely surprised if the pathology report from the autopsy said 'normal'. To me that doesn't make any sense. Definitely if someone had a perforated bowel, there's a high chance they met the criteria for sepsis. Probably severe sepsis or even septic shock. There are strict definitions for that. Any Infectious Disease doctor should be able to help. ...Read more

Don't "cleanse". ...Read more
