Colonoscopy showed erythematous mucosa in sigmoid colon. Dr said it is probably from C.diff which I had about 5 months earlier. Should I be worried?

Any symptoms?: Do not be concerned about the finding you mentioned. If you do not have any symptoms, let it be. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more

Have giant liver hemagioma .i feel like a long hard lump on right upper quandrant is that my liver or colon ? Could dr feel the colon on a physical?

Usually not: Cannot usually feel the colon on examination unless there is a mass on/in the colon. Hemangiomas in the liver are usually not a problem unless they impaired function of the liver or blood flow through the liver. Not sure exactly what you're feeling on your right upper quadrant. Best to see your doctor, show them what you are feeling so they can help you determine what this is and whether a problem. ...Read more

Malignant tumor removed surgically from sigmoid colon, the dr. Said he found a very tiny mass on the uterus (millimeters) which didn't appear in ct. Is this considered as metastasis or still stage 3?

Malignant tumor removed surgically from sigmoid colon, the dr. Said he found a very tiny mass on the uterus (millimeters) which didn't appear in ct. Is this considered as metastasis or still stage 3?

Was the mass on: The uterus which touched the sigmoid colon? Was this mass biopsied? More information would be useful. If biopsied and found to be consistent with colon cancer, the uterus is not a distant organ, but would raise the t to t4b and overall stage would become stage iii c. ...Read more

Patience : I hope you are wrong and there is no cancer but even if so, 3 weeks would not affect the outcome. I know waiting can be hard but try to gather all your optimism during the waiting period. Again, i truly hope there is no cancer there. ...Read more

Crazy: Dr nguyen and heller are quite correct. The state of texas prosecuted practitioners of colonic cleansing because the procedure was ineffective and dangerous. This is outlawed in texas now. Patients were killed by perforation of the colon by inexperienced practitioners. This is a practice without scientific basis, in a word - quackery. ...Read more

Is colon cleasing safe?

NO, don't do it!!!: This has been addressed many times on healthtap, and the repeated answer is: don't cleanse! it doesn't matter whether the snake oil (sorry "detox cleanse") you choose is "organic" or not--there is no enduring value to "cleansing" your gut without a doctor's advice. What toxins? Rather, there is considerable risk to your health. Pull the prior healthtap answers on this subject, and please don't! ...Read more
