I'm taking theragran stress tablet one tab. daily which is a multivitamin bec.of hair loss.no deficiency could this be overdose?slight cramps in colon

Severe lower ab cramps, burning colon, nausea, fatigue. Gf and df & was temp paleo. Is this IBS? Ulcer. colitis? (Worse if eat meat &, oddly, mustard)

IBS: More likely it is IBS. Ulcerative Colitis is possible but you would have bloody stools. You are likely allergic to mustard so don't eat anymore. You are probably deficient in stomach acid or digestive enzymes so meat is problematic. I would do food dairy for 1 week to see if you are allergic to other foods such gluten, dairy, etc. I would recommend strong probiotic and digestive enzymes. ...Read more

How do I know if painfull cramps and pain pooping are from IBS or something else wrong in the colon?

How do I know if painfull cramps and pain pooping are from IBS or something else wrong in the colon?

It's in the details: Painful abdominal cramping may be from specific food sensitivities or true ibs. Pain with defacation could be from constipation. Usually, ibs pain is relieved somewhat with bowel evacuation, only it is quite often if you have the type associated with diarrhea rather than constipation. Talk out some of the details with your family doc -- you may need the opinion or scoping evaluation from a GI doc. ...Read more

16mm flat polyp removed and endo clips put in to seal where removal occurred in my colon---been three days and I still feel abdominal cramp-normal?

Check with doctor: 13mm is half an inch, so 16mm is a little more than that. There's some inflammation (redness, pain, swelling) at the healing spot, but one can call the GI doctor to see if the healing is on schedule, compared with the doctor's experiences with his other patients who had similar polyps removed. One should be ready to describe the quality, severity, location, and duration of "cramps" to the doctor. ...Read more
