Are colon cleanses and colonics safe?

Are colon cleanses and colonics safe?

If one has bowel problems, he can see his primary care doctor or a gastroenterologist. Colonic cleaning or irrigation is not natural, and can be dangerous if the person's chemical balance is distorted. ...Read more

Likely just laxative: Most of these teas contain senna (cascara), which is a natural stimulant laxative. There really isn't anything in there "cleansing" your colon. Just making you have a bowel movement. ...Read more

Does colon clensing work?

Aggressive cleanses can upset electrolyte balance and lead to colon irritation as well as upset normal bacterial flora (and lead to things like c-difficile colitis). ...Read more

Has anyone used acai berry and cleansing colon diet and bled?
