Cold With Itchy Chest Cough
Had cold symptoms 6 days they have gone now just feeling dizzy and my chest feels tight/itchy with cough no mucus?
Hydration: You may be partly dehydrated. Drink enough water so that your urine is colorless and do this on a regular basis. It will also help with the dry cough. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless. Practice safe sex.
The cough reflex is a protective mechanism that uses muscles in your throat and chest to expel mucous and saliva that may contain pathogens that would otherwise possibly be inhaled via aerosol or to expel pathogens infecting the throat and respiratory system. Cough benefits the host by reducing load and benefits the pathogen which may then spread via aerosol. ...Read more
I have had a cold for a min now stuffy nose headache itchy eyes chest hurt and a cough but everything is gone except the cough and I urine on my self?
See your doc: Sounds like you are over a cold but the cough remains. Coughing hard often can cause women to leak a little urine when coughing. This should stop when the cough goes away. If you are coughing up phlegm, are short of breath or just not getting better, see your doctor. You may have bronchitis and require an antibiotic prescription to recover more quickly.

I've had a cold for about 2 days (cough, sore throat, runny nose). 2 days ago, noticed small, below the skin, non-itchy red dots on neck and chest.
Allergy: Detail history is needed for correct diagnosis. Antahistaminics may resolve problem.
I've been sick for 2 weeks now. My cough finally went from phlegmy to dry, but my chest feels itchy as I keep coughing. Is this normal?
Recently better from a 2 wk spell of laryngitis. Now I have itchy cough, very little clear mucus with brown dots. Sometimes can feel chest mucus. Help?
Hard to say: I would see your doctor to check you out for bronchitis or a lung infection. Good luck
How long?: Itching is often associated with allergy. If you have had these symptoms for more than 2 weeks or they have been recurring, they are likely from allergies. Consult an allergist to find out what may be ailing you and whether you may have asthma as well. If there is a family history of allergies, then your chances of having allergies get much higher.See 1 more doctor answer
I cough a lot and my eyes get super itchy. When I cough, my chest feels tingly too. What could it be?
Eye Itch: The combination of cough and eye itching may signal some sort of allergic response. Go to your primary doctor to be checked for asthma and seasonal or chronic allergies. Itchy eyes are often a symptom of allergic conjunctivitis which may be treated with Pataday or zaditor, (ketotifen) or of blepharitis, an inflammation of the eyelids and lashes, which is treated with lid scrubs, compresses, and antibiotic.See 1 more doctor answer
Throat and chest: Frequently, itching is a symptom of an allergy. Post nasal drip from the nose or sinuses can lead to irritated throat and cough. Asthma can present as a recurrent cough and asthma is frequently associated with allergies. An evaluation could include lung function testing, allergy testing and possibly sinus ct scan.
I have terrible chest congestion with a itchy cough in my lungs. I am on a z-pac. How long does it usually take to clear up?
Doctor can re-check: After starting antibiotics, things should be better each day after the first 2 days. Otherwise, the doctor can re-check to see if a different antibiotic or a longer course of antibiotics is needed. Sometimes asthma meds such as inhalers and anti-inflammatories like singulair (montelukast) or Prednisone are also needed. If doing well, a mild residual cough can be around for a couple of weeks, improving daily.
My daughter has a rash on her chest. Sandpaper feel, itchy, with cough and chest congestion, no fever associated. Although vague, what could this be?
Viral Exanthem: Most likely symptoms are related to viral illness but if she starts having a fever and sore throat then it could be scarlet fever related to Streptococcal infection. Finally the two symptoms could be unrelated with a common cold and dry winter skin or skin irritation from an agent contacting her skin.See 1 more doctor answer
