But not wet?: If you have the sensation of cold wetness without actually being cold / wet then it could indicate an abnormality with a nerve coming from the spine or a superficial sensory nerve. Compression: Since your symptoms are related to a position (lying down, sleeping) it is probably a compression neuropathy.
