Nerve: This can be from nerve compression from a disk in the spine or arthritis. It can occur in patients with vascular disease of the leg. It can also occur with muscle spasms in the lower back causing associated tingling in the extremity. If it's bothersome enough, see your family md for eval.See 1 more doctor answer
See a Doc: This is something that needs to be seen by the doctor who either put the cast on or ordered it for you. Sounds like you are getting some pressure on one of the nerves in your leg. This needs to be addressed right away. If necessary go to an er.
Carpel tunnel: Carpal tunnel syndrome is one possibility. Usually the numbness is felt in the thumb, second, 'third and the inside of the fourth finger. In carpal tunnel the median nerve is squeezed and this causes the numbness. Other neurologic conditions can also cause numbness such as pinched nerves in the neck, shoulder, or along the arm. When you are evaluated, these are conditions that will be looked for.
Seek help in person: While this could be related to something like restless legs - tingling is a much less common description of symtpoms. This could also represent some sort of physical compromise of the sensory nerves of the legs but also could be some other process compromising the nerves and that's important to find out sooner rather later. Best of luck.
Restless legs?: See a neurologist, you may have restless leg syndrome
Get checked: If symptoms don't go away in a few days. Go sooner if leg weak.
Elastic fibers torn: Like a ballon that is over extended and over-stretched, the skin can be over-stretched causing elastic fibers to tear and the overlying skin can be thinned and more sensitive.
Yes: Or see a podiatrist. The important thing is to see someone as soon as possible, regardless if this is the doctor who can help you, if not they will refer you to a doctor who can.See 1 more doctor answer
