Cold Sores On Stomach
My husband had a small rash on stomach, dr told him it was shingles. Not itchy or painful. What causes shingles? Also, gets cold sores is this related
Viruses: Shingles is caused by the same virus as chicken pox. Once a person has chickenpox the virus persists in the body and can cause shingle. A person with shingles can transmit chickenpox but not shingles. The same stimulus that caused shingles could activate the herpes virus that causes cold sores. I on occasion get cold sores in the same spot on my bottom lip. Now I have something that looks like a cold sore on my stomach?
Herpes Vs Syphilis: That is unusual. Do you have the vital herpes blood tests to prove which type or if you have both types of herpes? If you do have the blood tests then I would have a physician look at this to determine if the new sore is a different herpes. (you cannot get herpes elsewhere once you are infected). That makes me wonder about syphilis given what syphilis primary lesions can look like. ...Read more

After getting oral herpes from someone is it possible to feel sick/have a sore stomach the day after you kissed a person with a cold sore?
How to I know if its acid reflux or low stomach acid when I sometimes get cold sore feeling from throat to rectum after passing stool or standing?
Not sure it's either:
Cannot say in your particular case, but generally, reflux is too much acid and taking an ANT-acid changes symptoms.
Won't have any effect on rectal symptms associated with passing stool. This is a characteristic symptom of ibs.
