It feels like there's cold water dripping down on my left knee but it's dry. Why do I have this sensation?

Meralgia Peristhetic: The scary problem is only annoying. A nerve that exits your pelvis just under the bony point in the front is the culprit. It is irritated, often by tight clothing, and along with the wetness you may feel numbness on the outer side of the thigh with a cold feeling. Because it is numb people often burn themselves trying to warm it up. The nerve is the anterior femoral cutaneous. Nothing helps! ...Read more

I have had an intermittent sensation of a cold, wet spot just below my left knee, on the outer side. Not actually wet, just feels that way. Causes?

Sensation: When people describe things with warm or cold or wet or burning, I usually think about the cause as something neurological in nature, such as a pinched nerve or compressed nerve somewhere. What are the symptoms of having a medial extrusion in the left knee? Would this be a mensicus tear? Does this require surgery? Pain on the medial side

Prob Meniscus: Although the phrase "medial extrusion" is an unusual description of a condition of the knee, it sounds as if you are dealing with a medial meniscus tear with instability of the meniscus. Most meniscal injuries/tears will not heal on their own due to the lack of blood supply. Surgery is therefore often indicated. See an orthopaedic surgeon for evaluation. ...Read more

Knee pain on standin: Pain in the back of your knee that worsens as the day goes by and resolves overnight is typically due to a bakers cyst. It will cause you pain and a felling of fullness, but should not cause leg, knee or calf swelling, redness or heat. Any of those symptom need evaluated by your doctor. ...Read more

Very strange q. When my IBS symptoms get really bad, my left knee swells up a lil and then settles down in a day, over many years. My GI clueless?

See details: The issues would be unrelated unless the ibs was actually misdiagnosed and the GI issues are really either crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. I suspect you really have inflammatory bowel disease and not ibs. ...Read more

Could early arthritis cause pain in the middle of my left knee when i kneel it.I have no other symptoms such as swelling, hot sensation or stiffness?

Chondromalacia: Early arthritis could cause pain with kneeling, especially if the cartilage on the undersurface of the kneecap (patella) is damaged. This is called chondromalacia. Some people call this early arthritis but it does not necessarily progress to arthritis (which is the total erosion of the cartilage). X-rays and MRI can help make a diagnosis so the appropriate treatment can be prescribed. Good luck! ...Read more

Need more info: You say you have a discoid meniscus diagnosed by a surgeon i think the best way to evaluate it would be to perform an mri i wouldn't diagnose the problem just by the sound it makes the fact that it doesn't hurt is good but does not mean it s not there or even a small tear?
