Fever is your friend: A cold shower won't help a fever or the disease process. In fact, you'll probably feel uncomfortable & you're wasting energy. A fever actually helps FIGHT an infection -so better to let it run. This doesn't apply for little kids that could seize with high temps however. Acetaminophen or an NSAID (ibuprofen) would lower the temp if you really wanted to. I recc to save your energy for fighting infxn

We've learned that a Cold/Flu is caused by a Virus? But why it happens sometimes when our clothes gets Wet or when we go out after taking a Shower??
Just had the flu and after a shower I had excruciating pain around my left kidney... Is this a kidney cold?
Still running a tempature 37.2 and over over 5days, can't seem to lower taken ibuprofen and nurofen, cold flannels, cool showers have got the flu but having an affect again with my asthma, doc Monday?
NOT A FEVER!!: 37.2 is a perfectly normal temperature so don't worry so much about that. You are quite possibly taking too much ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is one of the main ingredients in nurofen so STOP taking both. Make sure you are hydrating/pushing fluids. If your asthma is acting up then yes, definitely go see your doc. Also inform your doc about your ibuprofen usage so that they are informed and can monitor you.
I feel like I'm getting the flu because I have a site throat and very stuffy nose what will help me from getting less sick hot or cold shower?
Hot shower: Steam youself with a hot shower. The steam will help you unclog your nose. In fact you can do that3-4 times a day to relieve your symptoms.
See below: There is no "magic bullet" for any illness. This is part of the western civilization's false belief pattern that has been perpetuated by the pharmaceutical companies that there is magic in drugs. Medicine is an art and requires many disciplines. The best treatment for most illnesses is common sense medicine, treating the symptoms supportively.
NO, DO OPPOSITE.: WHEN YOU HAVE FEVER, IT IS IMPORTANT TO TAKE MEASURES TO COOL YOUR BODY. THIS INCLUDES TO EXPOSE BODY TO COOL AIR, COLD SHOWER OR USING ICE INSTEAD OF COVERING IT.
