I am a vegetarian I do not eat any refined carbs or pasta rice or bread or sugar. I workout 7 days . What is blocking weight loss?
It's also how much: It doesn't matter if you'e vegetarian or carnivore - you need to burn off less than you take in to lose weight. You may also need to be checked for thyroid, pcos, etc which can make it hard to lose weight. See a good registered dietitian about your caloric allotment and expenditure. ...Read more

On 3 separate occasions my 7 months old has been violently sick after eating pasta which was the only ingredient in common haven't given dairy yet..?
Food Allergy: Wheat and gluten in general are potent allergens. Wait until after at least 1 year old to introduce allergenic foods: dairy, nut butters, seafood, soy, chocolate, egg, tomato, berries, cherries, tropical fruit (including avocado), citrus, wheat, barley, corn, & seeds (sesame, etc.). After a severe reaction, it is safer to test for food allergy (& celiac) first before trying the food again at home. ...Read more
I am a vegetarian and i don't drink milk or have dairy products, so should I take a B12 supplement?
Absolutely: Vegetarianism is a moral choice, not one that actually promotes health. It is also extremely dangerous if you do not supplement. Get with a vegetarian-friendly physician or dietician who can guide you through the science and the disinformation. Vegetarians tend to become deficient in iron, calcium, vitamin D, and a few others. It's your health that's on the line. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Can you get enough nutrients from a vegan diet? I'm vegetarian, but cannot imagine how to get protein if i were to take out dairy
Is a vegan diet healthy for kids? I became a vegetarian when i was a young teenager. More recently i turned vegan because i was having health problems caused by dairy. Because i became a vegetarian when i was so young, i never learned how to cook meat. I
Whether : Whether to eat meat or dairy is a personal choice. With that said - to have a balanced diet, a vegan needs to have a significant knowledge base. Vegan diets are often low on vitamin b 12, calcium, vitamin d, iron and other nutrients. If these are not obtained through the diet, there needs to be appropriate forms of supplementation. If you plan to raise your children as vegans, i really suggest you thoroughly educate yourself on the matter. It takes much more careful planning for your kids to fill their nutritional requirements if they are vegans. I would also suggest you work with a good nutritionist, to ensure that children's nutritional requirements are met. A possible option could be a primarily vegan diet with some dairy and /or meat supplementation. Raising children on a vegan diet is not child abuse. It can however, be trickier than a vegetarian diet or eating that includes fish and meat. If you are not vegan based on moral issues and your main concern is about cooking separate meals- how about making the same basic meals for the whole family and augmenting the children's meals to ensure that their intake is balanced? ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Not necessarily: Meat can be an excellent source of nutrition. I am wary of commercial meat from animals fed gmo foods & given hormones/antibiotics as these can be toxic, but grass-fed organic meat is very healthful and a good source of zinc, protein, essential fatty acids & other immune-enhancing nutrients. Even if one eats meat it is wise to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables. ...Read more
Prob more fattening!: While a pizza with meat toppings generally has more calories, a vegetarian pizza is likely more fattening! this is because the most fattening part of the pizza is the crust ; having meat with it slows digestion of the crust.
