I'm Taking Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) 10/325 as prescribed really constipated. taking colace 100mg. can i drink prune juice does it contain peanuts in it. allergic to them?
I took one 100mg of Colace (docusate sodium) at 8:00 am. It's now 8:30 pm. No bowel movement. Should I take another 100 mg. is it safe to take more?
Not the best.: Instead of using Colace (docusate sodium) a long term, a better approach would be to increase the amount of fiber in your diet and consider a fiber supplement, such as Metamucil, daily. Dulcolax: Dulcolax probably better in an acute situations with no bowel movements in few days. Colace (docusate sodium) is sometimes used on a daily basis for patients with a tendency to constipation and it takes longer for its effect. Given your age would suggest light exercise and good hydration along with a high fiber diet. ...Read more
