I got allergy due to hot summers due to which my skin itches a lot and got small red rashes. What should I do to cure it?
Multiple: How long does the rash last after you got out of the sun? Do you have the same issues after exercise? The problem can be due to what is called cholinergic urticaria which usually occurs during the cooling off period after an increase in core body temperature (hot shower, sun, exercise, stress etc). If this is what you are experiencing, then taking an antihistamine prior to the exposure may work. ...Read more

I'm having an eczema allergy. Is it normal by applying moisturizer to my skin everyday? Or my skin will suffer from rashes
Eczema is not just an allergy, it is more of an atopy - it is genetic and there is a predisposition to react more to any specific allergen (more than other people). You need to keep your skin well hydrated, so yes you need to apply moisturizers daily.
When you have flare ups which are not controlled by moisturizers, you will need steroid creams to decrease the rash. ...Read more
Hi, is there a medicine for allergies in eating chicken and eggs? I get skin rashes which are very itchy everytime i eat. Thank you.
Avoidance.: The way to avoid allergic reactions is to avoid eating chicken and eggs. An antihistamine such as Allegra or Claritin (loratadine) might blunt the reaction somewhat, if you take it before eating the offending food, but it won't work as well as not eating the food in the first place. ...Read more
Is it more likely to have an allergy to caffeine, or stimulants in general? Skin rashes appear on lower face and upper chest. Testing for this?
Quite rare: I don' recall ever seeing someone allergic to caffeine. As each stimualnt drug is quite different chemically from others an allergy to all stimulants is even less likely. There is also no skin or blood test for such an allergy but that doesn't mean it can't be done. A double-blind challenge is the method used to establish a relationship between a cause & an effect. Your local allergist can help. ...Read more

Eczema vs. Contact: You may have just an irritant reaction to sweat and friction at the neck line, but you also may have a perfume/cologne allergy or a nickel allergy (found in jewelry of many types). Otc Hydrocortisone 1% may help if used 3 times a week or so. If the reaction is not controlled easily there would be a benefit from seeing a doctor to discover the true cause or use stronger prescriptions. ...Read more
I am having rhinitis since long time but recently developed skin allergy, itching, rashes. Gets better with anti histamines.what can be alternative cure?
See allergist: It appears that you may be having atopic dermatitis as well although most people usually develop skin problem first before rhinitis and even asthma (called the atopic march). However the rash from AD is not usually relieved with antihistamine and thus I wonder if you meant hives (swelling) instead of a rash. An allergy consult will likely be beneficial for you. ...Read more
Mast cell concern, normal blood wk, but flushing, short term rashes, sensitive skin, GI issues, allergies, allergy test change from all pos. To all neg.?
See a specialist: Normal blood work taken when you are feeling relatively "normal" may not exclude all cases of mast cell disease. It may help to recheck certain labs (e.g., tryptase) within a couple hours of the start of an episode. There are also other potential causes for your symptoms, such as certain tumors, dermatographism, etc. I would see an expert in mast cell disorders and/or flushing disorders for help. ...Read more

Is allergy an inborn condition?I never had an unpleasant skin allergy(very itchy skin rashes) before until I turned 21.
Yes and no: While you may be born with a propensity toward developing allergies genetically, you actually have to be exposed to an allergen before you become allergic to it. It could happen the first time you are exposed or the hundredth. I, like you, did not start having hayfever symptoms until I was in my 20's. Yet every fall when ragweed is out, symptoms start unless I take my meds during that time of year ...Read more
