The main thing krill oil has that cod liver oil does not is Astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant with many proven benefits (see http://products.mercola.com/astaxanthin/). May increase LDL: Prescription fish oil (lovaza) is indicated for treatment of high triglyceride, but in doing so it actually raises the LDL a bit.
